Right Brain

Share it Please
As you might know, there are 2 major parts of brain which are responsible for our life-skills, and those are the left hemisphere or "left brain" & the right hemisphere of the brain or "right brain". In most people, the left hemisphere is "dominant" for language, while the right hemisphere is usually dominant for spatial-temporal reasoning. And now, I'll share some information with you about the right hemisphere of the brain further.

The Right Hemisphere of the Brain
This part is responsible for your creativity, passion, sensuality, spiritual, emotional, imagination, and social-skills. Most leaders have their right hemisphere of the brain more dominant than their right, they tend to develop their leading-skills and their decision-making skill. Extraordinary artists definitely have a superb right brain where their creativity comes from, but this doesn't mean artists have poor left brains. Some artists like Leonardo Da Vinci use their right brain to create, define, and explain their works, they also tend to understand art better with their left brain, and later create something new from their right brain. And the most dominant aspect from the right hemisphere of the brain is creativity.

"Creativity is a phenomenon whereby something new and valuable is created (such as an idea, a joke, an artistic or literary work, a painting or musical composition, a solution, an invention etc.)." - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creativity
Creativity is a tool to create something beautiful called "art". This "art" usually used as creations by the creators to express their feelings or emotions into sheets of musics, words of poets, drawings & paintings, movies & games, and also tools & technologies to help humans understand things around them better.
Graham Wallas wrote a book called "Art of Thought" which is published in 1926. In his stage model, creative insights may be explained by a process consisting of 5 stages:

  1. Preparation (preparatory work on a problem that focuses the individual's mind on the problem and explores the problem's dimensions)
  2. Incubation (where the problem is internalized into the unconscious mind and nothing appears externally to be happening)
  3. Intimation (the creative person gets a "feeling" that a solution is on its way)
  4. Illumination or insight (where the creative idea bursts forth from its preconscious processing into conscious awareness)
  5. Verification (where the idea is consciously verified, elaborated, and then applied
